Rick Witt – Head Golf Professional
Rick Witt is a talented Class A PGA professional with nearly 15 years of experience as a Head Golf Professional. He distinguished himself as Wisconsin’s top golfer after winning the 2006 Wisconsin PGA Match Play Championship. In 2001, Rick was voted “Golf Professional of the Year” in the Eastern Region of American Golf Country Clubs. He also has served on the Titlist National Advisory Staff since 2000. Rick joined Blackhawk in 2004 and resides in Madison, with his wife, Danielle. |

Jake Schneider--Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Jake Schneider began working at Blackhawk Country Club after his junior year as an undergraduate pursuing a degree in Soil Science at the University of Wisconsin Madison. He continued to work seasonally on the course while pursuing his masters degree in Horticulture, also at UW-Madison. As a graduate student, Jake was the first receipient of the Kurth Distinguished Graduate Fellowship. His masters thesis that explored the use of rain gardens vegetated with either turfgrass or native plants showed the environmentally positive impacts of turfgrass. As the second assistant superintendent, he began working full-time in 2008 and was promoted to Assistant Superintendent on January 1, 2009. |
